Getting Started
What is Zerys?
Zerys is a project management tool designed specifically for content projects. Once you set up your project, you can assign your titles to the best possible writer by accessing our built-in marketplace of professional writers.
How Does it Work?
See our How it Works screen for a quick, visual illustration of the process.
I Just Signed Up. What Do I Do First?
The best way to get started is to just submit a quick test order! If you don't like the content, you don't have to pay for it, so there's no risk to give it a try.
Simply click on "Place New One-Time Order" and follow the simple steps. We suggest posting at least 4 or 5 titles so you can sample multiple writers and increase the chances of quickly finding a writer you love.

Placing Orders
Do I need to add funds before I can place an order?
You can set up your order or project without adding funds. When you're ready to actually place your order, you will need to click on "Add Funds" and deposit enough money into your account to cover the amount of the order.
Whats the difference between a One Time Order and a Long Term Project?
A One Time Order allows you to place a quick order of as many titles as you wish. It uses a simplified order process where everything is on one screen.
If you plan on ordering similar content in the future, you should set up a project. Projects offer more functionality to help you find the best topics and titles to write about. There are also more advanced customization options when it comes to assigning titles to writers, and choosing custom SEO settings.

Funding
How Do I Pay for Orders?
You just click on My Funds>Deposit Funds.
What Type of Payments Do You Accept?
We accept all major forms of credit card and Paypal.
At What Point Do I Have to Put Money Into My Account?
You can set up your order or project without adding funds. When you're ready to actually place your order, you will need to click on "Add Funds" and deposit enough money into your account to cover the amount of the order.
When Does the Order Amount Get Deducted From My Escrow Account?
Once you select the titles you want to order, Zerys will calculate the MAXIMUM amount based on the price per word and the total word count. You will need to have at least that amount of funds in your escrow balance in order to proceed with the order. At the time of the order, the amount will be debited from your escrow balance, but if you reject the content later, those funds will be returned to your balance.
I Haven't Approved My Content Yet? Why Is My Balance Showing a Lower Amount?
Zerys deducts the amount of each order from your escrow balance at the time of each order is placed. However, you don't actually pay for the title until you approve it. It is still considered sitting in escrow until you approve each page. At any point, you can reject the title and those funds will be returned to your escrow balance.
Can I Get a Refund?
Yes. At any time, you can click My Funds>Widthdraw Funds to transfer your balance back to your credit card or Paypal account.

Order Status
Will I be Notified When a Writer has Accepted My Job?
Yes. However, you have the ability to turn off this and other email notifications from within your account.
Will I Be Notified When The Writer Completes My Content?
Yes! Each day, Zerys will send you a summary email at 2pm EST if you have any titles that are ready for your review.
I Posted My Titles Using SmartPost. How Can I Check the Progress of the Bidding Process?
Just visit the main My Projects dashboard. If you have titles under the Job Board column, click the # to visit the detailed Job Board Status screen. There, you can find out:
- The current Bid
- Which writers currently have access to your titles
- what the next bid amount will be, and when it will change
- The MAX bid rate you set

Creating/Managing Projects
What's a Project?
Projects are long-term order templates that allow you to better organize future orders for similar content. Projects offer more advanced set-up tools, and allow you to save all your settings and writer instructions so you dont have to re-type them every time you want to place a future order for similar content. It also lets you build a title queue so you can plan your future posts.
How Do I Use the Various Project Settings Screens?
You can find a quick demo of how to use each screen in the Project Set-Up process here.
Finding/Sampling/Managing Writers
Communicating with Writers
There are two ways to communicate with writers.
- On the writer's Private Message Board located within their profile screen (Click the writer's pen name on any screen to visit their profile screen)
- On the "page-specific" message board located at the bottom of each page of content.
If you're requesting a revision for a specific page from the writer, be sure to click on "Request Revision". Otherwise, you can use the page-specific message board at the bottom of each page to send general notes to the writer about that page (for example: "nice job! Next time, please include references to the articles you cite."
If you want to send a general message about any topic (not about a specific page), you can use the writer's private message board on their profile screen.
What's the Best Way to Find the Best Writers?
The best way to find writers that you love is to post some titles to the writer job board (you can choose which writers will have access to your titles based on their quality rating and expertise categories). Each title you post is a separate order in the system. The writers who have access to your job will see your posts and will be able to reserve a job, one at a time, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Multiple writers will NOT write the same title for you all at once.
This will allow you to sample one writer's work at a time. If you like the writer's work, you can approve it (and pay for it). If you LOVE the writer's work, you can save that writer to your Favorite Writers List, so that you can assign future batches of titles direclty to that one writer.
If you do NOT like the writer's work, you can reject it, and pay nothing. When rejecting, you can also click to have the title either posted back to the job board, or direct assigned to a writer in your Favorites List.
What's the Purpose of my Favorite Writer's List?
The more you use Zerys, the better the results you get. That's because, over time, as you post more titles to the job board and sample more writers, you start to identify reliable writers that you can trust to deliver good results every time, rather than posting to the job board and not being sure of what you'll get back each time.
As you add these reliable writers to your Favorite Writers List, you'll be building a team of your own writers that you can assign future titles to directly, and get reliable results every time.

Reviewing Content
What's the Best Way to Review Content That's Ready for My Review?
Watch this brief video to show how to use the Content Review screen.
Can I Request That the Writer Add a picture for each page of content?
Due to copyright protection issues, we do not currently include image selection as a part of the process. You can add an image to your new content later when you publish it on it onto the web.
What is Copyscape?
When you go to review your content, you will notice a Copyscape Report in the middle of the page. Copyscape is a plagiarism detection utility that detects if content already exists anywhere else on the web. When the writer submits their content, we immediately scan their content using Copyscape. Then, we give the writer a chance to correct any duplicate content found before re-submitting. You will then be able to see the report so you can be 100% sure that the content is unique.

Exporting/Publishing Content
How Do I Download my Content After I Approve it?
Once you approve your content, it will appear in the Approved/Export status. From this screen, you can take one of the following actions:
-
Download your content as either text, word, or HTML
-
Auto-publish your content to platforms such as Wordpress or Hubspot (many more coming soon)
Who Owns the Full Copyright to the Content?
Up until you approve the content, the writer retains full copyright of any work they've written in the system. Once you approve a page of content, you are authorizing payment for that content to the writer, and full copyright ownership is transferred from the writer to you. You are then the sole owner of that content and the writer is not permitted to use that content for any other purpose.
